Three Ways to Buy Chain From Us

2. Sterling silver chain by the foot

Unfinished chain on a spool, priced by the foot or by the gram. 3. Permanent jewelry chain

Welder-compatible chain in 925 sterling and 14/20 gold-filled, in the 1.2–1.6 mm range that works cleanly with pulse-arc systems. Supplied on continuous spools with matching jump rings. Metals, Plating, and What the Numbers Mean

1. 925 sterling silver 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper alloy. Nickel-free, which matters for the roughly one in ten US consumers with a nickel sensitivity.

2. Rhodium plating A hard white platinum-group finish over sterling. It slows tarnish substantially and holds a bright white color. Our standard is 0.15–0.25 microns, which is the practical range for chain that flexes; heavier rhodium on a moving link will craze.

3. 18k gold plating 0.5 to 3.0 microns over sterling, your choice. For a chain that gets daily wear, we recommend nothing under 1.0 micron, and we will tell you if the thickness you asked for will not survive your price point.

4. Gold vermeil Sterling silver base with a minimum 2.5 micron layer of 10k or finer gold. This is the threshold the FTC requires before a piece can legally be sold as "vermeil" in the United States, and we plate to it rather than to a looser overseas standard.

5. 14/20 gold-filled A mechanically bonded gold layer that is 5% of the item's weight. Far more durable than plating, and the format most permanent jewelry studios prefer.

Custom Chain Manufacturing and Private Label

Bring us a reference photo, a CAD file, a competitor's sample, or a sketch on a napkin. We produce custom link patterns, non-standard widths, exclusive lengths, and mixed-metal combinations.

Private label services include your logo tag soldered to the clasp, custom quality stamps, branded poly bags and boxes, individual barcoding, and pack-out to your Amazon FBA or 3PL specification. If your chain arrives already labeled and barcoded, it goes on a shelf instead of through a warehouse.

Compliance for Selling Chain in the United States

This is where a lot of imported chain creates problems for US sellers, so it is worth being specific.

Under the National Gold and Silver Stamping Act, any quality mark stamped on jewelry sold in the US "925," "Sterling," "14K" must be accompanied by a registered US trademark belonging to the party responsible for the accuracy of that mark. A "925" stamp with no trademark next to it is not compliant. We stamp your registered mark alongside the quality mark as standard, at no extra charge, and if you do not yet have one we will tell you before the order runs rather than after.

We also assay to actual 92.5% content rather than to a nominal figure, supply material composition documentation for Prop 65 and CPSIA purposes, and use nickel-free alloys throughout.

How Wholesale Silver Chain Pricing Actually Works?

Silver is a traded commodity, so no honest manufacturer can publish a fixed dollar price for a chain and leave it up for a year. Your quote has three parts:

1. Metal cost the chain's weight in grams multiplied by the live silver spot price

2. Making charge a per-gram labor rate that varies by link complexity; a plain cable costs less to produce than a Byzantine

3. Finishing plating type and micron thickness, clasp, packaging

Heavier chains carry a lower making-charge percentage because labor is spread across more metal. This is why buying a 4 mm curb often costs less per gram than a 1 mm cable, and why comparing suppliers on headline price alone tells you very little. Ask any supplier to break a quote into these three lines. If they will not, the spread is hiding somewhere.

We do not set a fixed minimum. Most buyers start with 10–25 pieces per style so they can test sell-through before committing to volume. If you want a single sample first, we will send one.

How long does delivery to the USA take? 

Stock styles take 7–10 business days to produce and 5–7 business days in transit by DHL or FedEx Express. Custom runs add roughly a week. You get tracking at dispatch.

Who pays customs duty and import fees? 

You can order DDU, where you settle duty on arrival, or DDP, where we handle duty and clearance and quote you one landed price. Most first-time importers prefer DDP because there are no surprises at the door. Sterling silver jewelry generally enters the US at a low duty rate, and we supply the commercial invoice and HS classification your broker needs.
